LaTeX
Here is a collection of works I have produced using LaTeX, with terminal-based VimTeX setup inspired by the late Gilles Castel's legendary blog.
Disclaimer: I write my lecture notes during class and do not explicitly review for clarity or correctness.
Notes
I began using NeoVim + VimTeX to write my notes in lecture starting January 2026. The setup is very configurable and I think it's a lot of fun!
These notes are unofficial student-written summaries for educational purposes. Please attribute if referencing or sharing excerpts. Course names and referenced materials belong to their respective instructors and institutions. Copyright 2026 Luke Concini.
PHYS 271: Introduction to Modern Physics
Development of modern physics worldview; Rutherford scattering, the Bohr model, Stern-Gerlach experiment. Schödinger equation, quantum tunnelling, other topics.
ECE 240: Continuous Time Signals and Systems
Introduction to common signals (delta function, unit step) and frequency domain concepts: Fourier series, Fourier/Laplace transforms. Anatomy of systems, applications in Butterworth filter design.
ECE 203: Electrical Circuits II
Time and frequency domain analysis of circuits; exploration of differential equation, phasor domain, and Laplace transform approaches. Analysis of op-amp, two-port networks, and diode circuits.
PHYS 281: Electricity and Magnetism I
Electric + magnetic fields and related concepts. Fundamentals of further EM study; circuit applications.
CH E 243: Engineering Thermodynamics
Energy and entropy analysis of closed, steady-flow, and transient systems. Common cycles; deviations from cycle and substance ideal behaviour.
MAT E 201: Materials Science I
Atomic structure, imperfections, and effect on properties; crystals, polymers, semiconductors included. Material processing, use, wear, and testing.
Research
Here are some of my works associated with research projects I have contributed to.
Development of a keV Electron Diode Source - Poster
Project related to RADICALS space mission, supported by UAlberta Engineering. Presented at the 2026 Dean's Research Award (DRA) poster presentation among 107 projects; 1 of 2 recognized with 'Outstanding Research in the ECE Department' award.
Development of a keV Electron Diode Source - Report
Project related to RADICALS space mission, supported by UAlberta Engineering. Report provides detailed overview of project.
